Job summary

Exelixis, Inc. seeks a Senior Program Management Director to lead cross-functional teams across DTR, CMC and development programs from discovery through NDA/BLA, crafting integrated plans and timelines to drive timely milestones.

This senior leader partners with executives to manage risk, budgets and governance, and applies strong leadership, strategic thinking and biotech program experience to accelerate oncology initiatives. Proficiency in MS Office, Planisware and MS Project is required.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in STEM with a minimum of 15 years relevant experience; or MS/MA with 13+ years; or PhD with 12+ years or equivalent.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams in biotech/pharma, including CMC, discovery or development.
• Experience with oncology or cancer immunology programs is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills; ability to influence across levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversees multiple complex projects or portfolios spanning DTR, CMC and Phase 1–3 development, NDA/BLA filings and post-approval programs.
• Develops detailed cross-functional integrated project plans, Gantt charts, and status reports.
• Manages timelines, dependencies, risks, governance approvals and budgets in collaboration with team leaders.
