Job summary

State of West Virginia seeks a Director to oversee the Governor’s Office constituent services, scheduling and events coordination. You will manage appointment processes for 200+ boards, support high‑level recruitment, and ensure coordination across leadership teams for efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a focus in public administration, business, human resources or law.
• 4+ years of experience in senior operations or public administration, preferably within a government or corporate environment.
• Demonstrated experience in working in matrixed management structures and coordinating with and leading cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Governor’s Office constituent services team and scheduling/support team.
• Coordinate with the external affairs team on appointment processes for 200+ state boards.
• Support high-level recruitment and vetting for appointments, ensuring background checks meet requirements.
• Ensure alignment with Communications, External Affairs and Legislative Affairs in all scheduling and events.
