Job summary

Santander is seeking a CIB GIG-IC3 to lead client relationships, manage key accounts, and drive revenue across M&A, capital markets, and financing solutions. The role requires 9+ years in leveraged finance investment banking, ability to lead complex transactions, mentor junior staff, and travel as needed.

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred; strong analytical, risk assessment skills, and ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education - Required
• Master’s Degree in related field or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education - Preferred
• 9+ Years Experience in Leveraged Finance Investment Banking - Preferred
• Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, and have the aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and to develop innovative solutions
• Ability to manage projects independently and assume a high level of responsibility
• Ability to interact with clients
• Ability to assess and mitigate reputational, operational and credit risk
• Experience with sell-side and buy-side merger and acquisition processes and equity and debt capital raises

Responsibilities

• Originate and drive new business opportunities across M&A, capital markets, and financing solutions
• Analyze detailed corporate and financial information and conduct detailed due diligence
• Oversee the strategic direction and execution of complex transactions
• Develop and implement client coverage strategies to expand revenue generation
• Provide thought leadership and market insights to clients and internal teams
• Mentor and develop junior talent, contributing to the growth and success of the coverage team
• Build relationships with key decision-makers at companies in the sector industry globally. Prospect new clients and develop client outreach skills
• Travel as requested by senior deal team members and or clients
