Job summary

Panda Restaurant Group, Inc. in California seeks an Executive Director for Real Estate Legal Government Relations and Public Policy to lead nationwide advocacy, regulatory affairs, and public affairs strategies supporting growth.

You will engage federal, state, and local agencies, communities, and partners to align policy with development objectives. Responsibilities include building relationships with government entities, guiding cross-functional teams, and delivering strategic initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field; law license required.
• 12–15 years of experience in real estate, public relations, and community engagement with increasing management responsibility.
• Obtaining a valid Food Handler’s Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.

Responsibilities

• Leads Panda Restaurant Group's Real Estate Government Relations, Public Policy, and Legislative Affairs across federal, state, and local matters.
• Represents the Company before government agencies, elected officials, associations, and stakeholders to advance objectives.
• Develops and executes government relations and stakeholder engagement strategies for growth and development initiatives.
• Partners with internal teams to secure third-party consents, approvals, and stakeholder support for development projects.
• Builds and maintains strategic relationships with governmental entities, community organizations, retailers, and other stakeholders.
• Provides leadership for the REL Government Relations team and aligns cross-functional efforts.
• Directs communications, compliance tracking, and executive reporting on government relations activities.
