Job summary

Central Jersey Housing Resource Center (CJHRC) seeks an Executive Director to lead operations, advance programs, and guide fundraising with the Board. The role focuses on expanding access to affordable housing, strengthening grant pipelines, and ensuring HUD compliance.

You will oversee day-to-day agency activities, manage a small team, and represent CJHRC to donors and partners while advancing the organization's mission in Central New Jersey.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of nonprofit development experience with a track record of increasing revenue.
• Grant writing and fundraising experience.
• Strong understanding of HUD regulations and housing counseling.
• Demonstrated leadership ability; experience managing a small team.
• Strong project management and multitasking across priorities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• A genuine belief in our mission and the communities we serve.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the housing counseling agency.
• Oversee programs that help families access affordable housing.
• Prepare and manage grant applications to secure funding.
• Promote agency services through outreach, including social media.
