Job summary

Mercy seeks an Executive Director Quality and Safety to provide operational oversight for clinical quality program deliverables aligned with CMS and payor value-based programs. You will lead a team of improvement professionals, drive clinical outcomes, and minimize patient harm across Mercy facilities.

You will translate CMS and commercial program requirements into enterprise-wide initiatives, build capacity, and partner with leaders to sustain high performance while maintaining Mercy's mission

Qualifications

• MBA, MHA, MPH or MS in nursing is required.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of healthcare management experience with strong project management and analytics.
• Strong understanding of clinical quality measures and CMS/commercial programs.
• Ability to build relationships across departments and lead enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational oversight for clinical quality programs and patient safety initiatives.
• Direct, oversee, plan, coordinate and evaluate a comprehensive quality improvement strategy.
• Collaborate with Mercy leaders to interpret CMS/payor programs and drive performance.
• Lead a team of improvement professionals to drive top performance across care continuum.
• Travel to Mercy facilities as needed to support program delivery.
