Job summary

The Arizona Transit Association (AzTA) seeks a strong, visionary leader to advance public transportation, equity, and sustainable mobility across Arizona. The Executive Director will work with the Executive Board to refresh and implement a strategic plan and will strengthen relationships with members, government agencies, NGOs, and partner organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field.
• Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in advocacy, nonprofit, public policy, or governmental roles.
• Combination of education, experience and training acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations under policy direction of the Executive Board.
• Design, develop and implement association plans and programs including communications, marketing, finance, legislative/advocacy, membership, partnerships, and education & training.
• Serve as a visible ambassador and spokesperson for AzTA statewide and nationally.
• Supervise the Executive Assistant.
