Arizona Department of Transportation is seeking an Assistant District Engineer in Phoenix to oversee the Construction, Development and Operations groups within the District. A PE and Civil Engineering degree are required, with an expectation to lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• This role requires knowledge of engineering practices across Operations, Maintenance, Construction, and Permits.
• Experience in leading personnel and managing districts is essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities are required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administration of Construction, Development and Operations groups in the District.
• Provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to District personnel.
• Develop budgets and sign financial and contract documents for the District.
• Represent the agency in meetings with local government and stakeholders.
