Job summary

Sunshine Pediatric Day Center seeks an Executive Director to lead the PDN program, directing both business and clinical-operational functions for skilled in-home private duty nursing in Texas. Qualifications

• Pediatric clinical experience caring for medically or technologically dependent minors.
• 1 year of management or supervisory experience in a health-related setting.
• Current CPR/BLS certification; PALS preferred.
• HHSC initial administrator training completed under 26 TAC §558.259 with annual CE.
• On-site availability during operating hours at the licensed business location.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the agency's designated Administrator under 26 TAC §558.243, with day-to-day management of the PDN program.
• Ensure compliance with Texas Health & Safety Code Chapter 142, 26 TAC Chapter 558, and applicable regulations.
• Oversee client intake, physician plan-of-care authorization, and coordination of PDN in-home nursing for pediatric clients.
• Direct scheduling, staffing, assignment, and competency validation of RNs and LVNs.
• Partner with clinical leadership on oversight, visits, and plan-of-care compliance.
• Provide clinical judgment in pediatric high-acuity home care.
• Supervise distributed in-home nursing workforce and coordinate care.
• Communicate with families and provide trauma-informed care.
• Oversee operational, budget, and utilization management; drive quality improvement.
