Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Executive Director of Patient Access to provide strategic and operational leadership across hospitals and ambulatory sites. You will oversee multiple Directors of Patient Access and drive standardization, performance, and patient-centered access strategies.

The role partners with appointment scheduling, Financial Clearance, Revenue Cycle, HIM, Managed Care and IT Epic to align access with enterprise goals, optimize throughput, and improve patient experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years in Patient Access, Revenue Cycle, or Healthcare Operations.
• 5+ years leading multi-site operations or multiple leaders.

Responsibilities

• Set system-wide strategy for Patient Access aligning with revenue cycle goals.
• Standardize workflows, policies, and technologies across hospitals and ambulatory locations.
• Lead enterprise revenue cycle transformation, automation, and patient self-service initiatives.
• Monitor KPIs like registration accuracy, eligibility verification, and throughput.
• Oversee staffing, budgets, and coordination with IT/Epic teams.
