Job summary

Executive leadership opportunity at CACI International Inc. to guide the Optical Communications Division, driving advanced free-space optical laser communications for terrestrial, airborne, and space contexts.

You will oversee a large, multi-disciplinary team, shape research directions, and manage IRAD programs to align with contract requirements. Collaboration with VP and Product Directors will be essential to resolve issues and allocate resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related, technical discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of technical management experience in optics or a related field for aerospace applications.
• Proven experience leading high-tech development teams with rigorous engineering methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing, multi-disciplinary science and engineering team.
• Develop research ideas for civil space, intelligence, and defense customers.
• Staff contract work and IRAD programs to meet schedules and requirements.
• Provide technical oversight for program execution and customer milestones.
• Grow the division through customer engagements and proposal development.
• Monitor leaders and guide professional development of staff.
