Job summary

Haynes Mechanical Systems in Denver, CO is seeking a Director of Safety to lead company-wide safety initiatives, develop and oversee policies, and ensure OSHA compliance for field and office staff.

You will drive training, conduct incident investigations and root-cause analyses, manage workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs, and partner with leadership to embed a proactive safety culture across Haynes locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field is required.
• OSHA 1926 and 1910 knowledge is essential.
• OSHA-30 Hour Construction certification (current) required.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Experience managing return-to-work programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain company safety policies and programs.
• Lead field and office safety initiatives and training efforts.
• Conduct regular site safety audits and provide coaching or corrective action.
• Perform incident investigations and root cause analyses; implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate OSHA 10- and 30-hour training for staff and manage training records.
• Maintain OSHA logs and safety KPIs; manage workers’ compensation and return-to-work.
• Collaborate with leadership to promote a proactive safety culture across locations.
