The Colorado Department of Revenue (CDOR) is seeking a proven, high-level leader to serve as Chief Administrative Officer. This executive role guides organizational compliance, policy standardization, and the agency’s physical and operational infrastructure.

As CAO, you will ensure legal compliance and modern, efficient administrative frameworks while supporting cross-divisional collaboration within CDOR’s Executive Director’s Office.

Qualifications

• Ten years of relevant experience in public or business administration with budget management.
• Experience serving in executive or senior administrative leadership roles within a large public sector agency.

Responsibilities

• Direct statewide real estate optimization including lease negotiations and footprint strategy.
• Oversee capital budget requests for facility upgrades and ADA-compliant spaces.
• Lead Continuity of Operations, COOP, and emergency preparedness initiatives.
• Oversee CORA/public records governance and secure data handling.
