Job summary

Forsyth Tech is seeking an Executive Director of Innovation to lead enterprise-wide AI initiatives, advance Vision 2030, and partner with CTLE, HR, IT to drive transformative change. You will oversee strategy, governance, and cross-functional teams to accelerate adoption of emerging technologies across teaching, learning, and operations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in higher education, workforce development, instructional technology, or organizational change management.
• Extensive knowledge of generative AI tools and their applications in instructional and/or operational contexts.
• Experience delivering professional development for adult learners.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects across academic and administrative units.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; able to present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead Strategic Innovation and Project Portfolio Management.
• Develop project charters, implementation roadmaps, timelines, resource plans, and success metrics for institution-wide initiatives.
• Establish project governance, monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure initiatives are delivered on time and within scope.
• Facilitate cross-functional project teams, executive steering committees, and stakeholder engagement.
• Apply project management and organizational change management methodologies to support implementation and adoption of new initiatives.
• Lead Institutional AI Implementation and AI literacy efforts.
• Develop a culture of innovation and promote ethical, responsible AI use.
• Design and deliver AI education through workshops, seminars, and online modules.
• Serve as an internal innovation consultant to analyze workflows and propose AI-enabled improvements.
• Benchmark and measure impact with KPIs and quarterly ROI reports.
