Pierce College District in Lakewood, WA, seeks an Executive Director for AI and Emerging Technologies to lead district-wide, equity-driven AI strategy, governance, and responsible innovation across academics, administration, and operations.

Reporting to the Chancellor, the Executive Director partners with the executive team to drive policy development, governance, and cross-functional initiatives that strengthen student success, workforce readiness, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of AI and emerging technologies across Pierce College, establishing a governance framework and responsible practices.
• Develop and execute a multi-year equity-driven AI strategy aligned with the college's mission and goals.
• Identify opportunities for AI to transform teaching, workforce readiness, and administrative processes.
• Monitor trends, risks, and regulatory developments and advise executive leadership on implications.
• Partner with IT, faculty, and leadership to implement AI solutions and incorporate them into curricula and operations.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, and other regulatory standards through governance, policy, and training.
• Represent Pierce College in regional and national conversations on AI and emerging technologies.
