Job summary

EDUCAUSE invites applications for the Director for Digital Learning and Innovation to guide the design, implementation, and optimization of digital learning experiences across graduate programs and instructors. The role oversees the instructional technology ecosystem and the LMS, reporting to the Associate Dean for Academic Programs in the Office of Academic Affairs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education, instructional design, educational technology, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in digital teaching and learning in higher education.
• Experience designing and facilitating instructional technology training.
• Experience administering enterprise LMS and related tools (video, class capture, Zoom, etc.).
• Knowledge of digital pedagogies, accessibility standards, and educational technology trends.
• Expertise in AI and responsible uses of AI in higher education.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Responsibilities

• Guide design, implementation, and optimization of digital learning experiences.
• Oversee LMS ecosystem, implementation, configuration, and enhancements.
• Identify emerging technologies and digital resources to facilitate learning.
• Provide professional development for instructors on digital resources and pedagogy.
• Evaluate AI-powered tools for instructional value, accessibility, and security.
• Develop policies for ethical use of AI in education.
• Contribute to guidelines for LMS use across degree programs.
• Analyze LMS data related to course design quality and engagement.
• Participate in institutional committees as needed.
• Adhere to professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
