Job summary

Lilly is seeking an Associate Vice President, Head of Transactions and M&A for Lilly Neuroscience in Indianapolis. The role leads neuroscience business development transactions, including M&A, in-licensing, out-licensing/divestitures, and equity investments, partnering with executives to identify opportunities and drive external growth.

The role requires a strong track record in biotech/pharma BD, senior leadership experience, and the ability to influence across R&D and commercialization

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry in business development, R&D, finance, sales/marketing, or project management.
• Bachelor’s degree; MBA/PhD/MD preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States; Lilly does not anticipate visa sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities

• Oversee neuroscience transactions across all development stages (discovery to commercial).
• Lead deal teams with cross-functional partners (Legal, Finance, Accounting, Alliance Management).
• Coach Senior Directors on the Transactions team.
• Drive growth and optimize efficiency, productivity and profitability.
• Identify external opportunities with the Search & Evaluation team to grow the portfolio.
