Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Senior/Executive Director for ExploR&D Translational Medicine in a hybrid role based in Boston, MA or Indianapolis, IN. You will lead medical strategy across assets, interfacing with biotech partners and Lilly experts, to advance early-phase programs with a strong focus on safety and efficacy.

The role requires MD/DO with board eligibility, 3+ years in pharma, and deep experience in early development, pharmacology, and translational biology.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy; board eligible or certified.
• Non-US trained physicians must have LCME-compliant education.
• At least 3 years direct experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership across early development assets and clinical plans.
• Author/review regulatory documents and safety summaries.
• Interface with client companies and external thought leaders.
• Lead dose-escalation meetings and safety reviews; medical monitor for trials.
• Develop medical monitoring and safety plans; ensure GCP compliance.
• Collaborate with PK/PD, toxicology, and ADME leads for dose selection.
