Job summary

Lilly Neuroscience in Boston seeks an experienced Associate Vice President, Head of Transactions and M&A to lead business development activities across discovery to commercial stages, shaping strategic deals and partnerships.

You will direct deal teams, collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Alliance Management, coach senior directors, and influence executives to drive growth and value.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in pharma in business development, R&D, finance, sales/marketing, new product planning, or project management.
• Bachelor's degree; MBA/PhD/MD preferred.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship expected.

Responsibilities

• Oversee neuroscience transactions across all development stages, including deals, licensing, M&A, and collaborations.
• Lead deal teams and collaborate with Legal, Corporate Investment & Financial Banking, Accounting & Finance Planning, Alliance Management, etc. to maximize success.
• Coach and oversee Senior Directors on the Transactions team.
• Achieve results via individual and team performance.
• Partner with neuroscience Search & Evaluation to identify external opportunities.
• Influence senior leadership on key decisions and opportunities.
• Lead large-scale BD initiatives with significant risk and complexity.
