The Tulsa Area United Way seeks an Executive Director to lead strategy, operations, and fundraising, partnering with the Board and staff to advance community impact. This role directs financial oversight, program development, and community relations, ensuring compliance and an inclusive culture.

The Executive Director will work closely with the Board, staff, and volunteers to drive revenue growth, manage budgets, and advocate for health and human services priorities across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Master’s degree preferred (MHR, MSW, MPH or MBA).
• At least five years of team management experience with increased leadership responsibilities.
• Experience in nonprofit organizations; health-related environment a plus.
• Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders to build a collaborative environment.
• Demonstrated leadership in setting and implementing strategic vision.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strategic Vision and Leadership—develops with the board the operational and business plans to support the mission.
• Management and Administration—leads staff and ensures implementation of policies and best practices.
• Financial Planning and Oversight—manages annual operating plan and budget with robust controls.
• Resource Development and Community Relations—fundraising plans and relationships with donors and partners.
• Board and Volunteer Engagement—maintains effective board relations and recruits volunteers.
