Job summary

The Midtown YMCA Executive Director administers the policies, procedures and programs of the association in accordance with the provisions of the Board of Directors and its constitution and bylaws, and includes fiscal management, financial development and program administration. Works in conjunction with the Director of Healthy Living to provide outstanding wellness to meet the need of members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and a minimum of five years related leadership and operations experience and/or training preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years successful leadership and supervisory experience managing multiple staff teams.
• Experience in fiscal management and program administration.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the mission and philosophy of the association.
• Branch Board of Directors recruitment, education and branch committee development.
• Staff and volunteer recruitment, development, supervision, and evaluation.
• Interpretation and communication of the objectives and programs of the YMCA to the community through public communication and participation in community organizations.
• Administers approved budget and maintains fiscal soundness of the branch.
• Executes branch board and committee decisions involving written correspondence and representation.
• Reviews enrollment, programs, services, and operation of the branch and communicates findings to stakeholders; implements changes for quality and growth.
• Develops relationships within the community including schools, churches, homeowner associations, civic organizations, and other groups.
• Review key performance measures and program operations; develop annual plan to secure support for the Annual Campaign.
