Job summary

University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia is seeking an Executive Director, EVP IT Integrated Services, to lead a new senior IT organization across five EVP divisions. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, and 10+ years of progressively responsible IT leadership experience, including oversight of technology operations, service delivery, strategic planning, and team leadership; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated success leading complex technology functions, managing cross-functional teams, and driving operational excellence in a large and/or decentralized environment.
• Experience as a trusted advisor to vice president-level executives, with the credibility to shape strategy and the service orientation to own issues personally.
• Proven ability to lead organizational change with sound judgment, transparency, and accountability, build high-performing teams, and balance enterprise standards with specialized customer needs.
• Strong knowledge of IT operations, service delivery, infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, cloud, and emerging technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to improve service quality, operational effectiveness, and organizational resilience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, listening, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience managing budgets, resources, and vendors in a complex organization; higher education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build the Integrated Organization by uniting EVP IT teams into a single operating organization.
• Establish clear service ownership, roles, responsibilities, and accountability.
• Determine what can be delivered in common and what must remain specialized for efficiency.
• Maintain continuity of service during organizational evolution.
• Partner with Strategic Planning, HR, Communications, and other leaders on transitions.
