Community Options, Inc. is seeking an Executive Director of IDD Services to lead residential operations in Binghamton, NY.

This role oversees compliance, growth and development, budget, and workforce development with a strong commitment to improving lives of persons with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with five years of supervisory experience; a Master's is preferred, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with five years of related administrative and supervisory experience.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Understanding and commitment to community-based support for persons with disabilities.
• Understanding of funding sources and entitlement programs for people with disabilities.
• Confident public speaking at events, conferences, and on social media.
• Team oriented with demonstrated leadership experience.
• Employment contingent upon successful background checks and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with licensing and reporting standards.
• Form advisory board to expand resources and improve service delivery.
• Assess issues and develop solutions for high-quality programs.
• Recommend policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
• Identify grant and funding opportunities.
• Conduct fundraising to promote the organization’s mission.
• Maintain a positive public image of Community Options.
• Interface with local, state, and governmental agencies.
• Participate in developing short- and long-term department goals.
• Cooperate with licensing and department staff during inspections.
