Community Options, Inc. seeks an Executive Director of IDD Services to lead our Indiana, PA operations, ensuring compliance, growth, and responsible budget management.

The role requires strong leadership, fundraising acumen, and collaboration with stakeholders to advance services for people with disabilities. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, develop strategic plans, and build partnerships with government and community partners while guiding the organization through regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in administrative and supervisory roles.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Willingness to relocate to Indiana County, PA.
• Understanding of community-based support for persons with disabilities.
• Ability to partner with internal/external stakeholders and government officials.
• Confident public speaking at events, conferences, and on social media.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with licensing and reporting standards.
• Form an advisory board to support resource development and service expansion.
• Identify operational issues and implement solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
• Develop policies and procedures to drive continual improvements in services.
• Identify and pursue grant and funding opportunities.
• Lead fundraising activities to promote the organization’s needs and mission.
• Promote the organization’s public image and represent it publicly.
• Manage controls, budgeting, and reporting to the national office.
• Coordinate with local, state, and government agencies.
• Help set long and short-term department goals and systems.
• Cooperate with licensing and department staff during inspections and inquiries.

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.

We are seeking a Highly Skilled and dynamic Executive Director of IDD Services to lead and manage our Indiana, PAoperations! This is a key and exciting role for an individual who has a commitment towards improving the lives of persons with disabilities. The Executive Director is responsible for all operations for the region including compliance, growth and development, budget and workforce development. Must live in or be willing to relocate to: Indiana County

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily operations and compliance with state licensing and reporting standards
• Formulate and implement an advisory board which will assist the organization in developing and expanding resources to improve service delivery
• Assess operational issues and develop comprehensive solutions to maintain a high-quality program
• Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
• Locate and recommend appropriate grant and funding opportunities
• Conduct fundraising activities that effectively promote the needs of the national organization
• Promote and maintain a positive public image of Community Options and our mission
• Institute and maintain appropriate management, financial and personnel controls, and provides the national office with the necessary documentation and paperwork
• Interface with local, state and governmental agencies
• Participate in developing long and short-term department goals, objectives, and systems
• Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with five years of related experience in administrative and supervisory roles; Master’s Degree Preferred
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
• Understanding and commitment to community-based support for persons with disabilities
• Understanding of funding sources and entitlement programs for people with disabilities
• Ability to partner across internal/external stakeholders, government officials, and industry associations
• Confident with public speaking at events, conferences, and on social media platforms
• Team oriented with demonstrated leadership experience
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
