Community Options, Inc. is seeking an Executive Director of IDD Services to lead residential operations in Pittsburgh, PA. The role owns compliance, growth, budget, and workforce development for the region, and requires relocation or residency in Allegheny County, PA.

Responsibilities include daily operations, developing an advisory board, pursuing grants, fundraising, and maintaining a positive public image with government agencies. Strong leadership and community-based commitment are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of related administrative and supervisory experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Understanding and commitment to community-based support for persons with disabilities.
• Understanding of funding sources and entitlement programs for people with disabilities.
• Confident with public speaking at events, conferences, and on social media platforms.
• Team-oriented with demonstrated leadership experience.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background checks and drug testing.

• Promote and maintain a positive public image and interface with local, state, and governmental agencies.
• Develop long- and short-term department goals, objectives, and systems.
• Coordinate with license and department staff during inspections.

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 11 states.

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Executive Directorof IDD Services to lead and manage our residential operations in Pittsburgh, PA! This is a key and exciting role for an individual who has a commitment towards improving the lives of persons with disabilities. The Executive Director is responsible for all operations for the region including compliance, growth and development, budget and workforce development. Must live in or be willing to relocate to Allegheny County, PA.

• Formulate and implement an advisory board which will assist the organization in developing and expanding resources to improve service delivery
• Assess operational issues and develop comprehensive solutions to maintain a high-quality program
• Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
• Locate and recommend appropriate grant and funding opportunities
• Conduct fundraising activities that effectively promote the needs of the national organization
• Promote and maintain a positive public image of Community Options and our mission
• Interface with local, state and governmental agencies
• Participate in developing long and short-term department goals, objectives, and systems
• Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with five years of related experience in administrative and supervisory roles; master’s degree preferred
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record

• Understanding of funding sources and entitlement programs for people with disabilities
• Confident with public speaking at events, conferences, and on social media platforms

• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
