Job summary

The Petroleum Underground Storage Tank Release Compensation Board is seeking an Executive Director to provide top-level management for the Fund and administrative operations across Ohio. The role oversees financial stewardship, investment oversight, and long-term program sustainability.

The Executive Director administers state code provisions, directs budget and staffing, and collaborates with agencies, industry, and the public to advance policy and ensure program effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate core program in public administration, business administration, accounting, finance, environmental science, engineering, or law.
• Five years of progressively responsible executive or senior management experience.
• Experience or training in executive management, supervision, budgeting, and financial management.

Responsibilities

• Administers the Petroleum Underground Storage Tank Financial Assurance Fund.
• Directs statewide administration of the Fund and policies.
• Oversees Fund finances, investments, fiscal sustainability, and related policy recommendations.
• Develops, administers and monitors the agency’s operating budget and manages annual revenues, claims expenditures, and operating expenses.
• Directs the claims reimbursement program, including eligibility determinations, and audits.
• Represents the Board before the Ohio General Assembly and other stakeholders.
• Provides executive leadership for agency personnel and succession planning.
