Dow Jones Energy seeks an Executive Director of Research Excellence to lead modernization of market research processes and cross‑functional initiatives. You will be a member of the research leadership team and report to the Vice President of Research.

You will evaluate current processes across commodities, upgrade analytical tools, and steward decentralized, vertical teams to broaden coverage. You will oversee the Voice of the Customer program and liaise between clients, researchers and product

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional work experience across the end-to-end research process.
• Experience in commodity research shops preferred.
• Experience managing direct reports and mentoring skip-level reports.
• Ability to develop modernized, customer-focused research solutions.
• Strong client and data partner relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and modernize market research processes across commodities.
• Upgrade analytical tools and streamline data ingestion.
• Lead decentralized, vertical-specific teams to cover new areas.
• Oversee Voice of the Customer initiative.
• Bridge between clients, research teams and product management.
• Manage relationships with third-party data suppliers and royalty obligations.
• Coordinate global coverage across research verticals.
