Job summary

The University of Miami seeks an Executive Director, Employer Engagement & Partnerships to lead the strategy for building employer relationships that drive talent acquisition and experiential learning for students and alumni.

The role oversees cross-campus partnerships with corporate, nonprofit, government, and healthcare sectors, representing UM to employers and expanding internship, co-op and full-time pipelines across 12 schools and colleges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Higher Education Administration, Public Administration, Communications, Marketing, Human Resources, or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred in higher education, human resources/recruiting, communications or related area.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements a comprehensive employer partnership strategy focused on growing student hiring pipelines and experiential learning opportunities across all colleges.
• Cultivates relationships with regional, national, and global employers to secure recruiting commitments and experiential learning opportunities.
• Represents the University at career fairs, professional conferences, industry meetings, and employer engagement events.
• Partners with schools and colleges and career services colleagues to align employer engagement activity with curriculum and student goals.
• Leads workforce development strategies by analyzing labor market trends and building talent pipeline initiatives.
• Oversees hiring, training, and performance management of assigned staff and provides leadership and professional development.
