Job summary

BBVA Securities New York is seeking a senior analyst to lead LATAM Loan Syndicate Sales & Trading activities in New York. The role focuses on underwriting, distribution, and trading of syndicated loans across LATAM corporate, project finance, infra, and real estate sectors.

You will work with origination, structuring, and risk teams to optimize deal structures, pricing, and distribution. A deep understanding of LATAM markets and strong English communication are essential.

Qualifications

Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance or related field.
MBA preferred.
10+ years in loan syndicate or syndicated finance roles.
Knowledge of LATAM loan markets, project finance, infra, and real estate.

Responsibilities

Identify underwriting opportunities across business lines with coverage bankers and origination teams.
Work with Risk and PM to determine final hold level.
Formulate underwriting commitments and de-risk strategies to hit target closes.
Prepare LUAs for LUC and risk committees as needed.
Maintain investor database and ongoing contact with the Sales team.
Identify investor lists for lead arranger/bookrunner roles and develop distribution strategies.
Organize meetings and marketing events and prepare materials.
Monitor pricing trends and provide periodic loan market commentary.
Oversee loan comparables database and support secondary loan execution.
Ensure regulatory and compliance documentation for trades.
