Job summary

Transco Rail Services, part of Marmon Holdings and Berkshire Hathaway, seeks a Senior Director, Environmental, Health & Safety to lead enterprise EHS strategy across North America. You’ll drive environmental compliance, safety performance, risk management, and regulatory governance while shaping leadership across multiple facilities and field operations.

You will report to the Senior VP of Operations and build a world-class EHS organization, partner with executives, and elevate performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience
• Experience across multi-site industrial, manufacturing, transportation, rail, energy, or field service operations
• Proven track record improving EHS performance while reducing organizational risk
• Experience leading teams, developing leaders, and driving organizational change
• Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and risk management practices

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives
• Oversee air permitting, emissions management, waste programs, water compliance, and reporting
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations
• Drive proactive environmental risk identification and mitigation
• Lead environmental audits, assessments, and corrective action programs
• Develop and execute EHS strategies and management systems across operations
• Foster accountability, engagement, and operational discipline
• Partner with senior leadership to identify and mitigate enterprise risk
• Build talent and succession plans for EHS teams
• Drive continuous improvement with data and leading indicators
