Job summary

University of Georgia seeks an Executive Director for the Georgia Center for Developmental Science to provide strategic leadership, secure funding, and oversee multidisciplinary programs at the interface of developmental science, neuroscience, and prevention science.

The incumbent will manage shared infrastructure, recruit and mentor faculty, and build partnerships with families, schools, and state agencies while advancing national and international collaborations and sustaining an NIH-level

Qualifications

• PhD in Developmental Psychology or related field required.
• Internal search restricted to current UGA faculty who hold tenure at Professor rank.
• Proven ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and advance developmental science initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary scientific and administrative leadership for GCDS.
• Oversee strategic planning, personnel, budget, and shared infrastructure.
• Foster partnerships with families, schools, health systems, and state agencies.
• Develop and maintain a funded research portfolio, including NIH-level opportunities.
