Job summary

Mdu Resources Group seeks an experienced Associate Director to support the Director and Executive Director in managing STEM Center programs. The role involves planning, organizing, budgeting, and setting priorities with partner academic institutions.

Responsibilities include building partnerships with students, faculty, and staff; developing activities, conferences, reports, and grant proposal support; and maintaining program websites and data for reporting to agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• One year of education, training and/or work experience in program management or related area.
• Master’s degree may substitute for one year of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish rapport with STEM Center students, faculty, and staff and provide ongoing support for academic and financial needs.
• Develop and organize activities for students, including meetings, workshops, internships, and placement activities.
• Plan and coordinate conferences, including the Annual Research Symposium.
• Coordinate and prepare annual/final reports for agencies.
• Assist director with grant proposal preparations.
• Maintain department website and develop computer linkage for programs.
• Provide supervisory support for staff when required.
