Job summary

The University of Georgia seeks an Executive Director for the Georgia Center for Developmental Science (GCDS) to provide scientific and administrative leadership across a university-wide research hub focused on child and adolescent development. The role includes strategic planning, fundraising, and building shared infrastructure for neuroimaging, data science, and biobehavioral resources.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in developmental science fields; tenured full professor by start.
• Evidence of leading an interdisciplinary developmental science center.
• Experience securing federal funding (e.g., NIH R01) and managing complex portfolios.
• Experience managing budgets, personnel, and shared infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership for GCDS and oversee strategic planning.
• Develop and expand extramural funding portfolio for the Center.
• Build shared infrastructure for neuroimaging and data science to support research.
• Translate science into durable partnerships with families, schools, and agencies.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain faculty, postdoctoral scholars, and students.
