Job summary

Cypress Homes, Inc. in Appleton, WI seeks a Director of Construction to lead and strengthen residential construction operations across Northeast Wisconsin.

You will oversee performance, develop project and warranty teams, improve processes and cost controls, and personally manage select custom and spec projects from planning through completion. The role balances high-level leadership with day-to-day site oversight, travel to project sites, and collaboration across design, sales, and operations

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience successfully managing residential construction projects.
• At least three years of experience in a supervisory or Lead Project Manager position.
• Strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials, sequencing, regulations, and quality standards.
• Proficiency with project management software and related business technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the project and warranty management teams.
• Oversee the successful delivery of custom and spec home projects from planning through completion.
• Maintain visibility into schedules, workflows, staffing needs, and project resources; ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Ensure projects meet quality, cost control, scheduling, and client satisfaction standards; monitor expenditures.
• Coordinate with architects, surveyors, designers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other partners; collaborate with sales and design teams to translate client vision.
