Job summary

Peninsula Seniors is seeking a seasoned Executive Director to lead the organization on the Palos Verdes Peninsula and surrounding communities. The role centers on mission-driven leadership, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement, with a focus on aging services and program impact.

The successful candidate will partner with the Board, oversee operations, ensure financial health, and inspire volunteers and staff through collaborative leadership and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Experience leading a nonprofit or senior-serving organization with fundraising responsibility.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, operations, staff, and organizational resources.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership aligned with the mission, values, policies, and strategic priorities.
• Partner with the Board on strategic planning and long-term growth.
• Serve as a visible spokesperson and ambassador for Peninsula Seniors.
• Expand outreach, impact, and relevance within the community.
• Oversee fundraising strategy and donor engagement; support grants and events.
• Ensure sound financial management and internal controls; manage annual budget.
• Recruit, supervise, develop, and retain qualified staff.
• Foster a collaborative culture and meaningful volunteer engagement.
