Job summary

West Philadelphia YMCA seeks an experienced Executive Director to lead the branch with 120+ team members and 11,500+ members. The role drives overall direction, financial performance, and program growth while championing member experience, staff development, sales, and community impact.

You will partner with GPY and an Advisory Board to elevate the Y’s reach and services, shaping a high-profile leadership path and strong nonprofit impact in the West Philadelphia community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in fitness, retail, recreation management or hospitality industries.
• Experience managing 150+ team members.
• Experience providing high-end member service and managing member concerns.
• Track record of success in a performance driven work environment.
• Excellent interviewing skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and represent the YMCA mission and values.
• Perform daily walk-through inspections of the Branch.
• Analyze Net Promoter Scores to improve member experience.
• Manage budgets, forecast revenue and expenses for departments.
• Manage supplies, payroll, costs, and expenses for departments.
• Cultivate an engaged advisory board and connect members to the YMCA mission.
