Job summary

The Down Syndrome Association of the Valley (DSAV) seeks an engaging Executive Director to lead the organization from Boardman, Ohio. You will oversee daily operations, advance programs and outreach, and help grow fundraising and community partnerships.

This hands-on, mission-driven leadership role requires nonprofit experience, strategic thinking, fundraising expertise, public speaking, and the ability to collaborate with families, partners, and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Nonprofit leadership and organizational oversight experience
• Fundraising, donor relations, and grant-writing capabilities
• Strong communication skills with families, volunteers, and partners
• Strategic planning and program development abilities
• Wamiliarity with community outreach and partnerships
• Comfort with public speaking and representing the organization

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of DSAV's operations and programs.
• Translate DSAV's mission into programs, outreach, partnerships, and community impact.
• Grow fundraising capabilities, donor engagement, and grant opportunities.
• Coordinate events, campaigns, and major initiatives including the Buddy Walk.
• Represent DSAV at community events, health fairs, and media engagements.
