Job summary

Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District (GCCCD) seeks an Executive Director-Personnel Commission to lead the Merit System for classified staff. You will oversee recruitment, examination, selection, and workforce planning with a focus on equity and compliance with Education Code and Personnel Commission rules.

The role requires strategic HR leadership, budget oversight, and coordination with the Board and Chancellor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR/public admin/business or related field; 5+ years in recruitment, assessment, selection, and job classification.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct the merit system for classified staff.
• Coordinate recruitment, examination and selection of employees.
• Direct and administer classification and compensation programs for classified personnel.
• Prepare the Personnel Commission budget and oversee salary surveys.
