The Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) in New York City is hiring an Executive Director of Citywide Broadband to lead the city’s broadband vision and execution, improving affordability and adoption for the long term. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 4 years’ administrative or executive experience, of which 18 months in a supervisory role.
Alternatively, a combination of education and experience meeting the above requirements.
10+ years in broadband policy, digital equity, or telecom regulation is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and own the vision and execution of the citywide Internet Affordability and Adoption Plan end to end.
Serve as the principal point of contact on broadband with Mayor's Office, state/federal offices, the City Council, and the public.
Build and lead a team, manage the broadband budget, and secure additional resources.
Drive alignment across city agencies and entities to translate strategy into action.
Represent the city at public hearings and engage with advocates, residents, and industry.
Work with counsel, procurement, franchise administration, and budget staff to implement recommendations quickly.
Drive adoption and affordability outcomes, including low-cost high-speed internet plan enrollment.
Oversee special projects and initiatives.
