Job summary

Applewild School in Fitchburg, MA seeks an Executive Director of Auxiliary Programs & Summer Camps to build and lead the school’s new summer camps and year-round programs. The role partners with year-round staff to design, launch, and grow a suite of programs that utilize campus facilities and expand community engagement.

The successful candidate will drive strategic planning, partnerships, and calendar optimization to maximize enrollment, ensure safety, and achieve ambitious revenue goals,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years leading residential camps, youth programs, or school auxiliary programs.
• Experience launching or growing programs or camps.
• Budget management and financial goal achievement.
• Strong marketing, enrollment, and business development skills.
• Familiarity with camp management platforms and CRM.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Ability to navigate a hilly campus and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for Applewild's auxiliary enterprise.
• Identify, evaluate, and launch new programs leveraging campus facilities and market opportunities.
• Research trends and perform market analyses to identify high-demand camps and programs.
• Create educational, athletic, recreational, and community programming to drive enrollment and revenue.
• Build strategic partnerships with external organizations for on-campus programs or facility use.
• Manage year-round and summer programs, including staffing and operations.
• Oversee budgets, revenue targets, enrollment metrics, and program safety.
