University of California, Berkeley seeks an Executive Director, Campaign Planning to lead the campus-wide fundraising campaign. You will design, implement, and oversee campaigns and related programs in collaboration with UDAR leadership, campaign counsel, and campus partners.

This strategic role emphasizes governance, measurement, donor stewardship, and cross‑functional coordination with volunteers and gift officers.

Qualifications

• Expert collaboration, relationship-building, and trust-building skills to work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders and partners.
• Strong ability to navigate organizational complexities and decentralized environments and to lead successfully through influence.
• Expert knowledge of comprehensive campaigns, particularly in a university setting.
• Expert knowledge of fundraising, donor relations, communications & marketing, stewardship, and front-line fundraising.

Responsibilities

• Lead campaign planning and direction, coordinating with campus leadership and volunteers.
• Develop and assess the campaign plan, architecture, timeline, budget, and staffing.
• Collaborate with UDAR units on communications, outreach, and events; monitor progress toward goals.
• Serve as liaison between UDAR, campaign counsel, and campus leadership; manage relationships with donors and volunteers.
• Oversee development of campaign materials, priority setting, and reporting to leadership.
