Job summary

Odyssey Therapeutics seeks an Executive Director of Biologics DMPK & Translational Sciences to lead the discovery-to-development transition for its biologics portfolio in a fast-paced, multi-modality setting. You will shape the strategy, organization, and execution of DMPK and translational efforts, partnering across discovery, CMC, regulatory, and clinical teams to drive IND-ready assets.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. (or equivalent) in pharmacokinetics, pharmacology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 15 years of biopharmaceutical industry experience, with a substantial portion focused on the PK/DMPK and translational characterization of biologics (e.g., monoclonal antibodies, Fc fusion proteins, fusion protein biologics, bispecifics, or related modalities), including significant experience leading people managers and building organizational capability.
• Demonstrated expertise leading the discovery-to-nonclinical development transition of biologics, including candidate developability assessment, IND-enabling strategy, and successful candidate-to-clinic progression.
• Deep expertise in biologics DMPK and translational sciences, including target-mediated disposition, immunogenicity/ADA assessment, large-molecule bioanalysis (ligand-binding assays and/or LC/MS), and PK/PD modeling and simulation (e.g., Phoenix/WinNonlin, MATLAB/SimBiology, or comparable tools).
• Track record of first-in-human dose prediction and translational strategy supporting successful IND submissions.
• Demonstrated track record leading and developing multi-layered scientific organizations, including people managers, and managing CROs/external partners in a matrixed environment.
• Strong record of cross-functional and executive leadership, with the ability to translate complex DMPK and translational data into clear, actionable recommendations for project teams, governance bodies, senior leadership, and the Board.
• Experience in immunology, inflammation, and/or oncology programs is highly desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; a collaborative, science-driven leadership style aligned with Odyssey's culture of rigor, integrity, and patient focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the discovery-to-nonclinical development transition strategy for Odyssey's biologics portfolio, ensuring candidates are advanced with the right developability, PK/PD, and translational data packages to support confident candidate nomination and IND filings.
• Define and own the biologics DMPK strategy across the portfolio, including in vitro and in vivo PK characterization, target-mediated drug disposition assessment, immunogenicity/anti-drug-antibody (ADA) impact evaluation, and bioanalytical method strategy for large molecules.
• Drive translational science and PK/PD modeling to answer critical development questions, establish exposure–response relationships, and generate robust first‑in‑human dose projections and biomarker strategies.
• Serve as the most senior biologics development subject‑matter expert and a trusted advisor to executive leadership and governance bodies, influencing molecule design, candidate selection, and program direction through expert interpretation of DMPK and translational data.
• Partner with Discovery and Protein Therapeutics to embed developability and PK considerations into early molecule engineering and lead optimization for fusion proteins, Fc fusions, and antibody‑based modalities.
• Work closely and in partnership with preclinical toxicology to design and execute DRF and GLP toxicology program.
• Design, oversee, and interpret nonclinical PK, pharmacology, and IND‑enabling studies, including coordination of internal work and external CROs to ensure high‑quality, on‑time, regulatory‑compliant deliverables.
• Own authorship and review of DMPK and translational sections of regulatory documents (IND, IB, briefing documents), and lead health authority interactions on DMPK and translational matters.
• Build, mentor, and scale a high‑performing biologics development and DMPK organization — including people managers and senior scientists — and own the function's strategy, budget, and resourcing, establishing fit-for-purpose processes, capabilities, and ways of working as Odyssey grows.
• Represent biologics DMPK and translational sciences in business development and licensing diligence, scientific advisory board interactions, and other external partnerships, providing executive-level scientific input to portfolio and investment decisions.
• Stay current with advances in biologics DMPK, translational science, and regulatory expectations, bringing innovative and efficient approaches to the portfolio.
