Job summary

Sunshine Behavioral Health is seeking an Executive Director to provide visionary leadership and oversee operations for the new Keystone Retreat Behavioral Health location in Ephrata, PA. Reporting to the VP of Operations, you’ll guide nursing, clinical, and operational directors toward excellence and sustained improvement.

You will drive strategic planning, ensure regulatory compliance, manage budgets, and build partnerships while maintaining a client-centered, cost-efficient service delivery

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred in healthcare administration, business, behavioral health, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of senior management or executive leadership experience.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission, state, and federal regulatory standards.
• Experience supervising and developing multidisciplinary leadership teams.
• Contract negotiation and compliance oversight experience.
• Transparent, ethical, and compassionate leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership to staff and residents, promoting a culture of compassion, stability, and accountability.
• Drive strategic planning initiatives that align with the organization’s mission and long-term goals.
• Oversee daily operations to ensure delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and client-centered services.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, state, and federal regulations in partnership with the Director of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs.
• Collaborate with admissions, revenue, and insurance teams to ensure seamless and safe client admissions.
• Lead occupancy growth efforts and continuously enhance client experience.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, maintaining fiscal responsibility and efficient resource use.
• Supervise and support senior leadership staff to foster development and performance.
• Maintain facility and grounds standards through proactive maintenance and inspections.
• Build and sustain strong partnerships with external organizations to advance the mission.
• Review and authorize contracts and agreements on behalf of the organization.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Vice President of Operations.
