Job summary

Sunshine Behavioral Health in Raymond, IL, is seeking an Executive Director to lead day-to-day operations and oversee Nursing, Clinical, and Operations leadership. You will drive strategic planning, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of excellence and accountability.

Reporting to the VP of Operations, you will manage budgeting, develop partnerships with external organizations, and guide admissions, revenue, and safety initiatives while maintaining high-quality, client-centered

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Behavioral Health, or related field preferred.
• Senior leadership experience in a behavioral health or healthcare setting.
• Proven track record in program development, strategic planning, and fiscal management.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission, state, and federal regulatory standards.
• Experience supervising and developing multidisciplinary leadership teams.
• Contract negotiation and compliance oversight experience.
• Transparent, ethical, and compassionate leadership style.
• Strong organizational and delegation abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build strong external partnerships and community relationships.
• Minimum of 5 years of senior management or executive leadership experience.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification or willing to obtain
• Must successfully complete Background Check, Drug Screen, and TB Test

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, state, and federal regulations in partnership with the Director of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs.
• Collaborate with admissions, revenue, and insurance teams to ensure seamless and safe client admissions.
• Lead occupancy growth efforts and continuously enhance client experience.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, maintaining fiscal responsibility and efficient resource use.
• Supervise and support senior leadership staff to foster development and performance.
• Maintain facility and grounds standards through proactive maintenance and inspections.
• Build and sustain strong partnerships with external organizations to advance the mission.
• Review and authorize contracts and agreements on behalf of the organization.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Vice President of Operations.

Position Summary:
