Job summary

Drexel University is seeking an Executive Director of Alumni Engagement to lead the alumni engagement strategy, operations, and programming. This hands-on leadership role oversees a growing team and partners with university leaders to strengthen alumni relationships and donor involvement.

The position is hybrid, requiring in-person work 2-3 days per week, with strategic oversight of programs, events, and metrics to drive impact across the alumni lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 10+ years in relationship management, program development, international outreach and engagement, and volunteer management.
• Experience supervising/managing staff and leading teams.
• Demonstrated success in alumni engagement with measurable increases in engagement rates.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Set the overall strategy for and manage the growing Alumni Engagement team, including programs, events, and operations.
• Design, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive alumni engagement strategy aligned with university priorities.
• Provide leadership and supervision to nine engagement professionals and foster collaboration.
• Build strategic relationships with university leaders, deans, faculty, and campus partners; advise on alumni engagement best practices.
• Collaborate with frontline fundraising staff to create engagement opportunities that strengthen the donor pipeline.
