Job summary

Temple University is seeking a Director of Alumni Affinities and Programs to lead a portfolio of alumni engagement initiatives. The role partners with campus and Advancement teams to build meaningful lifelong connections between alumni and the university.

The position supports affinity communities, supervises the Associate Director, Student and Young Alumni Engagement, and guides program planning, events and communications across Temple's alumni network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least six years of progressively responsible experience in alumni relations, constituent or community engagement, membership programs, volunteer management, nonprofit programming, advancement, or a related field.
• An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy for a broad portfolio of alumni engagement programs.
• Oversee affinity-based communities and programs connecting students, alumni and the university.
• Supervise the Associate Director, Student and Young Alumni Engagement; set annual goals.
• Translate engagement strategy into programs, volunteer opportunities, communications and events.
• Collaborate across Institutional Advancement and campus partners to strengthen alumni participation.
• Travel regionally to cultivate and steward donor relationships and attend fundraising events.
