Job summary

MSCI Inc. is hiring an Executive Director, AI Research to lead AI-native capabilities across Private Assets R&D. You will work with researchers, product heads, and data/tech teams to translate advances into scalable client solutions.

The role reports to the Managing Director and focuses on end-to-end research delivery for institutional clients. You will define the AI research agenda, drive production-grade tools, and engage with senior stakeholders to communicate complex methodologies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of applied AI/ML research with production deployment.
• Strong Python and ML frameworks, plus experience with LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the AI research agenda for Private Assets R&D, identifying where AI creates competitive advantage.
• Develop AI-driven approaches to pricing and comparable selection using unstructured data.
• Extend nowcasting and cash flow forecasting with ML methods, focusing on explainability for clients.
• Design and deploy agentic AI workflows and prototypes for client-facing products.
• Automate high-value recurring research tasks including market commentary generation and model re-estimation.
• Represent Private Assets R&D in client engagements and publications.
