MSCI Inc. is establishing a Machine Learning Center of Excellence within the Research & Development team to develop ML models for investment tools.

We seek an Executive Director to lead research applying advanced ML techniques including deep learning and reinforcement learning to systematic strategies, portfolio construction, and valuation models. The role focuses on leading a team of researchers, guiding model design, and delivering findings that power MSCI's products for institutional clients,

Qualificações

• PhD in a quantitative field from a top institution.
• Publication record in ML or quantitative finance preferred.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas to technical and business stakehholders.
• Experience building and mentoring technical teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead research using ML methods integrating financial theory with deep learning and RL.
• Design models turning AI signals into investment insights.
• Deliver research powering new MSCI products.
• Mentor PhD-level ML researchers.
• Engage with clients to understand systematic investment challenges.
• Contribute to thought leadership through publishing.
• Collaborate with product, tech, and sales teams.
