MSCI Inc. in New York seeks an Executive Director, AI Research to lead AI-centered research across private markets. You will report to the Managing Director, Head of Private Assets R&D, and build scalable client-ready AI solutions with researchers, product heads, and engineering teams.

The role demands a PhD or MSc, 10+ years in applied AI/ML, deep Python and ML frameworks expertise, and the ability to own a research agenda end-to-end and communicate complex concepts to senior clients.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Computer Science or related quantitative field.
• 10+ years of experience in applied AI/ML research with production models.
• Deep expertise in Python and modern ML frameworks; hands-on with LLMs and RAG.
• Ability to own research agenda end-to-end and communicate to senior stakeholders.
• Preferred: domain knowledge in private markets or institutional analytics.

Responsabilités

• Define and drive AI research agenda for Private Assets R&D.
• Develop AI-driven approaches to pricing and asset analysis.
• Extend nowcasting and cash flow forecasting with ML methods.
• Design and deploy AI workflows and prototypes for clients.
• Represent R&D in client engagements and publications.
