Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Food Handler’s certification required.
• Five years of successful leadership in a food service setting.
• Three or more years preparing meals for large groups.
• Working knowledge of dietary requirements for seniors.
• Formal accredited culinary certification preferred.
• Significant culinary experience may substitute for formal education.

Responsibilities

• Develop menu according to a scheduled cycle and coordinate with the dietician as needed.
• Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations and staffing; manage the dining team.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director to enhance the dining experience for residents.
• Recruit, train, and set expectations for all dining services staff.
• Ensure meals meet dietary needs and regulatory standards; maintain records.
